While our journey's may be very different, the underlying truth of our Shared Human Experience remains the same.

Perhaps sharing the epiphanies and realizations of my journey also inspire you to realize that underneath it all we are all the same.

The Blood Type Diet

For about the last five years, I had been following the Blood Type Diet, upon the recommendation of a live blood analyst I had consulted with.  I had some very noticeable success early on with it while I maintained just eating from what was called "the beneficial list" for my blood type, which is O.  Once I started adding back some neutral foods, again allowable for my blood type, things started going south for me.

For type O's like me, you'd find that you are already 90% of the way to eating Paleo if you were only ever eating the beneficial foods.  The similarities being:

  1. There are zero beneficial Dairy products
  2. There are no beneficial Grains, except Blood Type Diet allowed sprouted bread (manna)
  3. There are no beneficial Legumes, other than Blood Type Diet allowing black eyed peas and adzuki

So if you eliminated those three exceptions, stayed away from processed foods, and picked up some healthy oils like olive & coconut oil... you're following Paleo without even knowing it.

One core advantage of eating Paleo over the Blood Type Diet is the shear number of recipes available to keep food fun and exciting!
